With the US presidential election just 10 days away, the Associated Press reported on the 25th (local time) that Chinese hackers attempted to hack the cell phones of former President Donald Trump and Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance.
The US authorities are currently investigating the incident, and it has not been confirmed what information was leaked as a result of the hacking,
the FBI said, without specifically mentioning former President Trump or Vance, that it is blocking the threat and working with the industry to strengthen cyber defenses across the commercial communications sector.
The Trump camp claimed that the current administration is encouraging attacks by foreign hackers and criticized Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
